US Taxpayers Party of Michigan
1. Meeting Review
SCC Meeting Review
April 28 Meeting of the State Central CommitteeTwo prospective gubernatorial candidates attended the State Central Committee meeting in Holt today.
Todd Schleiger has been running a campaign as an independent for several months and has decided to seek the nomination from the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan.
"What I will bring to Michigan is ACCOUNTABILITY, EQUALITY, and INTEGRITY.
Every politician I have ever talked to seems to lack one important thing, common sense.
I truly believe this is important to any great leader. I will not tolerate any deception to the people of Michigan from any elected official."
Evan Space, currently registered to run as a Republican, is also stated as considering to withdraw from the (R) race and seek the nomination of the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan.
"A lifelong resident of the great lake state of Michigan and a pioneering entreprenuer in small business with an aspiring goal to bring a fresh new life of economic growth and development back to his home state. The go getter that will place our state back to the top of the charts by doing away with broken politics and unbalanced political agendas. The equalitist and visionary of Michigan and what it's potential can become, phenomenal!"
Time will tell the outcome, but we are pleased to have had these men at the last couple of meetings so we can get to know them. As with any nominating convention, the details will be sorted out, and the most qualified for the position will be placed on the ballot for voter consideration.
Christine Schwartz, formerly from Dorr, Michigan, and our Chairperson for the Allegan County Committee has recently moved to Ottawa County. At the meeting today, the SCC voted unanimously to appoint Christine as the new Ottawa County Chairperson, creating a new County Committee.
Christine's former position in Allegan County was then filled, again with a unanimous vote of the SCC, by Steve Young of Allegan County. Steve campaigned for the position of Allegan County Sheriff in a recent election on the USTPM ballot, receiving about 20% of the vote. He is a patriot and devoted to principle.
Congratulations to both of you.
